Bruno Can Walk Again — Please Help Us Recover from Emergency Surgery

There’s a kind of love that only a dog can give — the unconditional kind that wraps around you in your hardest moments and makes the good ones even sweeter. For us, that love has a name: & it’s Bruno (@brunothewhitefrenchie).

I just want to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has poured their love out for Bruno and who has given us all the advice in the world. We truly couldn’t have done this without you. Hearing all of your stories gave us the strength to move forward with surgery and give Bruno what he truly needed.

@brunothewhitefrenchie — our baby, our world, and one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. He’s been loved by so many and has brought light, laughter, and joy to everyone he’s met, both in person and online. Let me just say… Bruno is a true warrior.

This was the third time our brave boy battled IVDD (a serious spinal condition common in Frenchies), but unlike the past, this time was different. The medications didn’t help him get better. His condition worsened by the day, and our hearts were slowly breaking.

After multiple vet visits and a rushed trip to the hospital, we were told the only option was an MRI to figure out exactly what was going on. The MRI revealed multiple compressed discs. Bruno was in not the best condition and needed emergency surgery if he had any chance of walking again.

Without hesitation, we moved forward with the procedure. We would do anything for Bruno — and we did.

We are beyond relieved and grateful to say: the surgery was a success, and Bruno is acting more and more like himself again.

But this journey came at a cost. Between vet visits, diagnostics, surgery, and hospital care, we’ve spent over $15,000. To make matters harder, our pet insurance informed us — in the middle of all this — that they were no longer offering the same policy in the state of California and is forcing us to accept their new policy or to change insurance & we all know what happens when we have to change pet insurance. Any pre-existing conditions will not be covered.

We know times are tough for everyone, and it’s never easy to ask for help — but if you’re able to contribute, even a small amount, it would mean the world to us and Bruno. Every donation will go directly toward his medical expenses and continued recovery.
