We are blessings in disguise for Bruley.
Bruley is a second grader who was diagnosed with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease. This disease is a condition of the hip in which the blood supply to the top of the thigh bone (femoral head) is temporarily disrupted. This causes pain and inflammation in the hip joint, as well as changes to the bone structure. When the blood supply is disrupted, the head of the femur is weakened and changes shape. This bone weakening causes the head of the femur to collapse and no longer move smoothly in the hip socket.
At the beginning of this summer Bruley was put in multiple casts and was unable to participate in regular second grader activities. He recently under went a surgery called Femoral Osteotomy in hopes that he would be pain free and be able to live a fun and enjoyable second grader life.
The funds will help off set the costs of the surgery and the many visits to the childrens hospital. The sooner the funds are raised the sooner the financial burden of the family with be lifted.
This means so much to us because we wish to help a family that is so willing to help so many others.
We hope you are willing to join us as Blessings in Disguise for Bruley. May God bless you all!
