My name is Jake, and I’m raising money to help my best friend, Bruiser, my two-year-old Rottweiler.
Bruiser is the sweetest and gentlest boy, and I’ve been blessed to have him. In July 2025, he completely tore his right ACL. I couldn’t afford the surgery at the time (the estimate was about $8,500), so I exhausted every option and worked with vets on pain management and consultations. Unfortunately, my pet insurance won’t cover the surgery, and the cost of multiple surgeon consultations and vet visits/medication has left me crippled financially.
Two days ago, Bruiser tore the other ACL. He can’t walk. My surgeon recommends doing a TPLO on one leg, waiting two months for recovery, then operating on the second leg, but I don’t have the funds to pay for even one operation, let alone both. I tried CareCredit and Scratch Pay, but only qualified for $2,000 because my credit is not great.
I struggle with depression, and it’s heartbreaking to see Bruiser in so much pain and unable to live the life he deserves. He’s more than a pet; he’s part of me. I can’t imagine life without him, and I’m asking for help so he has a chance to run and play again.
All donations will go directly toward Bruiser’s veterinary bills, surgery (TPLO), post-op care, medications, and any necessary follow-up appointments. I’ll be using my CareCredit and Scratch Pay as well.
Please consider donating anything you can—even $5 helps. If you can’t donate, sharing this page with friends, family, or animal groups would mean the world. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for giving Bruiser a chance to get back on his feet. God bless you.
