Bruin Racing Baja - SAE Tennessee Tech

Baja SAE Tennessee Tech is a yearly, international competition where teams design off-road vehicles to survive rough and punishing terrain. These single-passenger cars are pitted against other schools in several dynamic events, including one grueling endurance race, and are presented in professional business and design reviews. Over the past 2 years, our team of 60+ engineers has been working hard to design, manufacture, build, and test our first 4 wheel drive car in the club's history.

This competition is a culmination of everyone's efforts, and it is incredibly important for team members to see how our designs perform in a competitive environment. We gain skills in design, manufacturing, testing, decision-making under pressure, preparing technical documentation, and much more as these skills are highly sought after in the industry.

In order to provide access to quality engineering education and experience to all UCLA students who join our club, we have no membership costs. We are incredibly grateful to UCLA and other sponsors for providing funding to build the car; however, many costs associated with competition have to be paid for out of pocket. Therefore, we are holding this fundraising campaign to reduce the financial burden on club members who hope to attend the competition. Your contribution will go towards significantly reducing our cost of transportation and housing for our competition that takes place in Cookeville, Tennessee from May 12-15th.
