As you may know, we lost our sweet greyhound friend, studio mascot, and duet partner Bruce Beckel Thoreson this week after a quick and difficult decline over the past week and a half.

After a brave battle with ITP (idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, a disease when the immune system mistakenly attacks platelets), Bruce took a rapid sharp decline on Sunday evening, and it became clear that he wouldn't be one of the lucky doggies who recover.

Understandably, Bruce's mom and dad Laura & Joel are utterly heartbroken. They have also amassed substantial veterinary bills in the last ten days, and Laura has also had to cancel lessons (and lose income) to care for him during his illness. Any contribution toward his medical bills will be deeply appreciated.

We lovingly ask that you give Laura & Joel privacy during this week while they say goodbye to their sweet boy, but please do leave notes of encouragement here - I'll pass them along when the campaign wraps up.

We love you, Bruce, and we will miss you so much.
