My name is Bruce Rainier. About a year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. The tumor on my bladder was removed, but the cancer had spread to my spine, and I needed to have that tumor removed, which has left me unable to walk. I have been struggling to regain my ability to walk again. I had hoped to return to work but am unable to and am struggling to survive on my Social Security, which pays for my rent but little else. I was able to get some assistance from the usual sources and have some savings. That savings is almost depleted, and I am in need of being able to pay my bills. My hope is to be able to raise enough money to survive until I am able to recover. I am receiving chemo treatments, but it is difficult at times to deal with the side effects from treatments.
