Hi, my name is Ashley, and I am starting this campaign on behalf of my best friend, Alidia. Meet Bruce — a goofy, sweet rescue pup who lights up every room he walks into. Bruce loves hiking, camping, and making new friends (human and furry alike). Earlier this year, Bruce was rescued by his mom, Alidia, after she fostered him and quickly realized they were meant to be together.

Recently, Bruce was rushed to the Emergency Veterinarian after suffering from multiple seizures. He spent 14 hours in the ICU and was discharged with a potential diagnosis of idiopathic epilepsy, a broad term used for a neurological seizure condition when standard testing has been unsuccessful in finding a specific cause.

The cost of the initial emergency vet visit alone was $3500, and the cost of the neurology specialist appointment to do further, in depth testing to confirm a diagnosis and come up with an appropriate treatment plan has been quoted to be up to $7000. That is not including the all the medications sweet Bruce will require and other follow up visits. Unfortunately these costs are far beyond what Alidia can manage on her nurse’s salary.

If you know Alidia, you know how much she gives. She is deeply involved with animal rescue in Arizona, regularly volunteering her time, opening her home to fosters, and donating to help save animals in need. Now, the person who has dedicated so much to helping animals finds herself needing help to save her own beloved pup.

Bruce is young, happy, and full of life — with the right care, he has so much ahead of him. Every dollar raised will go directly toward his veterinary care, neurology consultations, and medications so he can continue living the joyful life he deserves.
