In the umpire community we step up and help our own.  Bruce Doane has been the poster guy for giving back to the umpire world.  

Now it’s time for the rest of us to step up and help him.

Earlier this year, Bruce developed cancer and is currently going through treatments.  Medicare is just not able to cover all of the necessary expenses. Although Bruce hates that we have started this page, the timing is critical to help offset his medical bills and allow him to focus on a full recovery.

He would never ask for our help -- his pride just wouldn’t allow him to do it. But he would be first in line to help if one of us was in need.

The amount doesn’t matter.  The fact that you care enough to help someone that has helped so many others -- does matter.
