Bruce&Aislinn Thomas medical & recovery expense
My name is Alexia Thomas (19). I am the oldest child of Bruce Thomas (46) and Mandy Collier (39). Two of my younger siblings were in a horrible car accident on Friday August 26, 2022. My younger brother, Bruce jr (16) was driving his vehicle with our cousin in front passenger and my little sister, Aislinn (14) sitting in the backseat behind my brother. The kids were on their way home from our grandmothers house to celebrate our cousins 17th birthday when a careless driver accelerated and passed the car in front of them in a no passing zone, and hit my siblings and cousin head on. My sisters injuries include a broken femur with lots of other aches and pains from the crash; her legs were wrapped around her head, and she was stuck in the car for at least 30 minutes. She has been discharged from the hospital, but is still going through a lot with recovery mentally and physically. My brothers injuries include a laceration to his lung and kidney, he also has frontal lobe brain damage. He is still in the hospital, and will be transported to Birmingham soon for long term rehab in hopes he will gain his abilities back. Though he is getting better slowly, he still has a very long road ahead. Our cousin is going through a lot as well, but it’s not my place to disclose their injuries. We as a family are going through a lot. My father is unable to work during this time, because he is at the hospital day and night with my brother. Family members are doing all they can to help my two younger siblings who remain at home. You never expect something like this to happen in your family until it does. God is healing and all powerful, and we know that we can pull through this. There is no way possible my family could pay all of the hospital bills flooding through. If you can help it’s greatly appreciated, and if not please share. My family means the world to me. Please help us.
