My dad, a man who has the best dental hygiene of anyone I know, just went through cancer surgery in his mouth (squamous cell carcinoma of the mouth and throat). He has a long road of tests, radiation, physical therapy, and reconditioning ahead of him.

He is a small-town pastor and has always worked hard for the communities he has served, despite being qualified to do any number of much higher earning jobs. He has rolled up his sleeves to do church building repairs, has visited countless others in the hospital to pray with them, and shares love and acceptance to everyone every day.

We set the goal with faith, to take out of pocket bills that the insurance will not cover off of their shoulders. Around $7,500 toward the surgery and 2 weeks in the hospital, and another $7,500 for physical therapy to get my dad teaching God's word again!
