*** So sorry to say, Bruce passed this morning (11/18/2021) @ 8:10AM EST, almost 7 months to the day after Candace - Thank you all for the support for him and his family and over-exceeding the original goal **
My name is Uday Raval and I set this up for Bruce Rosenberg and his family who have definitely had a challenging year to put it lightly. Many of you know Bruce Rosenberg as the Sun Microsystems guy or the SpringPath guy or the HX guy at Cisco. I know him as a peer at Cisco and a friend that I've worked with for the past 5 and a half years who's never let me down.

As we walked the streets of Manhattan going from customer to customer in the downpour showers of April, the heat of July or the frost of January, Bruce always has a smile on his face and would tag team any opportunity we have had. Never was there a time when he would turn me down no matter how busy or what he had going on in his own personal life.
While walking on Park Avenue one day, I could tell he wasn't himself and he was lost in thought and I asked what was going on and he mentioned what going on with Candace, his long time partner, best friend and the love of his life - Ocular Cancer. Whenever I would see or talk to him I would ask how Candace was doing and each time they were all hopeful with many clinical trial drugs and trips to Philadelphia, etc. As many of you know, he lost Candace unexpectedly this past April while hoping she was going to pull through it. http://www.ocularmelanoma.org/m-candacelomonaco
As horrible as this loss was, little did I know that there was more to come. I knew that his dad was in the hospital with some challenges but was then doing better, went from skilled nursing to physical therapy and then back to his own apartment at 91 years old doing well. One day I was talking to him, less than 2 months since Candace had passed and he gives me the news that he himself has lung cancer which started with leg pain, his legs buckling and not being able to walk. I'm talking about Bruce, not Bruce's dad now.
I would stay in touch with Bruce via text and keep intending to go down to see him once he was home but he was constantly on chemo or immunotherapy one alternating with the other. During this time I asked many times how I can help, if I can send food or anything but he insisted that his sis-in-law, son and his son's girlfriend were taking care of him and that he was ok. There were days when he would text me and let me know that he had 2 more days of radiation, pain is minimal and he's doing ok.
Bruce not only lost the love of his life Candace, but while battling cancer himself, lost his 91 year old father Melvin and his sister Victoria Rosenberg Phillips to lung cancer . . . And this past weekend he had to be taken into hospice by his son Zachary.
Please pass this on to friends, family, anyone he's worked with in the past - he has definitely touched my life and has always been there and I'm sure there are a ton more people out there for us to pull together and help his family with all they've been through. ❤️
