Bruce Needs Regenerative Medicine

My name is Janet Pickering and I am writing this page for my Brother Bruce Pickering. Bruce is 65 yrs old now, 13 yrs ago he was forced to stop working and declared permanently disabled by Social Security because he had developed neuropathy in his legs and feet. With the money he saved for retirement eaten up by divorce and the 2008 market crash, Bruce took his monthly checks and moved to Belize in November 2008. It was warm and he can afford to live a decent life there. Yes the weather is beautiful. As time goes on Bruce’s neuropathy has worsened to the point that some days he can’t get out of bed because his feet feel like they are on fire. I’ve seen it bring tears to his eyes
My brother worked for 32 years as a Respiratory Therapist working hand and hand with others bringing people back to life in emergency situations, and now I am asking you to help him get back SOME of his. Bruce has been researching Stem Cell Therapy for his neuropathy and his back, he feels it’s the best course of treatment to help HEAL his conditions rather than just treat the symptoms, but it comes with a price. Medicare will not pay for it and each treatment is around $10k. He will more than likely need a minimum of two treatments.
It breaks my heart to see my brother in this condition, it’s not all he deals with in is his daily life; it’s just the most debilitating. Bruce is legally blind, suffers from wicked tinnitus, he’s getting depressed and his neck and back are shot from all the reaching and pulling of patients on and off of beds and moving the heavy respirators where ever that were needed.
I would like to see my brother happy again; I would like to see him dance again at “Crazy Canucks”.
