Please help Save Bruce Lee — our Beloved Puppy Fighting Parvo
Hi, my name is James. I'm a single father of two amazing young boys, and we’re reaching out with heavy hearts because our 7 month old puppy, Bruce Lee, is fighting for his life.
Bruce Lee is more than just a dog — he’s our family’s heartbeat. He came into our lives at a time when we needed hope and joy, and he gave us both. He’s been both mine and my boys' best friend, and a constant source of love and laughter.
Last week, Bruce Lee was diagnosed with parvovirus, a life-threatening and fast-moving illness.
Canine parvovirus (CPV) is a highly contagious and often life-threatening virus, especially in puppies. It mainly affects the gastrointestinal tract and immune system. Despite being vaccinated and well cared for, sadly Bruce Lee still contracted this devastating virus.
Since this happened, I’ve been doing everything in my power to help him survive — but the cost of emergency care, medication, and possible hospitalization is growing beyond what I can afford as a single dad.
The boys and I are devastated. But we haven’t given up.
I’ve started this fundraiser to ask for help from anyone who’s ever loved a pet like family, or who understands how hard it is to watch someone you love suffer and feel powerless. Every donation — no matter how small — goes directly to Bruce Lee’s veterinary care and could give him the fighting chance he deserves.
What Bruce Needs:
Emergency vet visits
- IV fluids and medication
- Ongoing monitoring or hospitalization
- Possible outpatient care if in-hospital isn’t possible
I’ll post updates on his progress and every step of his recovery. If you’re not able to donate, we completely understand — please consider sharing this with your community to help spread the word.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. Your kindness could be the reason Bruce Lee survives this.
With deep gratitude,
Bruce Lee, James and my boys
Update on Bruce Lee’s Journey
Hi everyone,
With heavy hearts and tearful eyes, I write this update to share some truly heartbreaking news…
In the early hours of Sunday morning, our beloved Bruce Lee took his final breath. He fought valiantly, full of strength and spirit, but sadly, he has now transitioned from this world. Words cannot fully capture the void his absence has left behind. For those who knew Bruce or followed his journey, you know he wasn’t just a dog—he was family, joy in its purest form, a loyal soul with a lion heart.
We are absolutely devastated. His energy, his love, and that bright spark he brought to our lives are irreplaceable.
As painful as it is to say this, we believe Bruce’s passing could have been avoided. He showed clear signs of illness from the beginning, and we took him to the vet three times over the past 10 days. Sadly, it wasn’t until the third visit that he was finally diagnosed with Parvovirus. By then, it was too late. If he had received the correct diagnosis earlier, we believe he might still be here. But as painful as it is, we place it in God’s hands—He knows all things, and we trust in His divine purpose, even when our hearts break trying to understand it.
We had hoped to give Bruce a proper burial, but due to the urgency and our lack of preparation for such a sudden loss, we opted for cremation, which has now been arranged—thanks to the overwhelming love, shares, reposts, and generous donations from so many of you. Truly, we’re beyond grateful.
However, we are still left with a significant balance for Bruce’s medical treatments and emergency care. Though Bruce is no longer with us, we still need to honour the costs of his brave fight. If you feel led to continue supporting, your help would mean the world to us.
Thank you, from the depth of our souls, for your compassion, kindness, and generosity. This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family, but we find peace knowing Bruce is no longer in pain. He’s running free now, tail wagging in heaven, watching over us with love.
Rest in power, Bruce Lee ❤️
Never forgotten. Forever our warrior. Forever loved. Forever missed.
