Bruce Hines' Medical Expenses

Donation protected

Our Dad was involved in a serious car accident on November 3, 2016.  His pelvis was broken in two places, broke his sternum and three ribs. He has 2 brain contusions with blood on the brain, he had a large cut on his forhead and a small one on the back left of his head.  He has a collapsed lung. He was also intubated for 8 days, that has caused a swallowing problem that makes liquids go into his lungs.
He has been in a nursing home/rehab facility since November 23rd and is making great progress. However, he is likely to never work again due to his accident.  Our parents co-pay alone is $164.50 a day for him to stay at the facility under his insurance, they also have other medical bills that were not covered under insurance.  He can stay as long as March 2 in that facility, after that he has to come home.
Our Mom's biggest concern is his walking and going up and down their stairs, all of their bedrooms and bathrooms (with a shower/bathtub) are upstairs. He just recently started walking and is very unsteady, we are hoping in a few more weeks that he will show more improvement with the daily therapy that he is receiving.
Our parents have always been givers to those in need. Dad would help a friend or stranger when he could, he frequently would buy a stranger that was homeless a meal or if they asked for money he would give some and he would tell them "This is not from me, it's from Jesus"  In 1995 our sister Emily died unexpectedly and Dad had to fly home for her funeral, he gave another passenger on the plane the jacket he was wearing because the man did not have one. that is how our Dad and Mom have always been, very giving.  We are not ones to ask for assistance, but at this time, our parents could use the help with the unexpected expenses that they are incurring due to his accident.
We thank you for all of your prayers and any monetary assistance you are able to give, your help for our Dad means so much to us.
