Bruce Almighty needs your help!

Hello my Good friends.  As many of you know, our favorite Principal and friend, Bruce Michitson,  managed to land himself in the hospital back in early June.   What began as a day long stomach ache, ended with Bruce driving himself to Holy Family Hospital that evening.  He was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis.   Bruce spent a week in the hospital recovering from having half of his Pancreas and entire Gal bladder removed.   After being out of the hospital for a week and upon returning from a low key trip to the mountains with is family, he again started to experience pain (which he downplayed in classic Bruce style) in his gut.   With the pain increasing, it was quickly decided to get Bruce to the hospital.   With regard to going into too much detail and with some real questions yet to be answered as to how and why, Bruce was was bleeding out internally due to a detached artery in his spleen.   After 10 blood transfusions, several cracked ribs (due to resuscitation 3 times), bruised liver and kidneys, Bruce was med-flighted  to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

Wow, that's a lot.

Where things stand now;  A week ago Tuesday his breathing tube was removed, which was huge!  He can now subtly communicate with his family and the nursing staff.  Thankfully despite his ordeal,  all his mental faculties are still in tact (including his sense of humor!)   
Today, unfortunately,  has been a bit of set back with Bruce heading back into surgery to address an infection - updates will be available asap.

So,  How do we help?  First and foremost -  PRAYERS!  THEY ARE WORKING!  Michelle, Bruce and the Girls are overwhelmed with the outpouring of  response, continued prayers and love shared by all who have reached out in one form or another.  Please keep them coming, It's still a long road ahead!

Secondly, and of equal importance -Monetary Donations to help offset the current and long term financial constraints that may in any way distract from the  main focus - Bruce's recovery.  All donations will go directly to Bruce's family to help mitigate current and  ongoing medical expenses, loss of income, Bruce's home care after release and as well those yet to be accounted for.  The road ahead will be a rough and arduous road for Bruce and his family.  Let's make the ride as comfortable as possible.

NOTE:  All and any funds not needed or used will be donated by the Michitsons in Bruce's name to the American Red Cross.

Any amount you can muster will be immensely appreciated!  Just as importantly, PLEASE spread the word!  You can copy/paste the Go fund me link to your social media pages ie, Facebook, Instagram, etc.  to reach as many people as possible with in your networks.
