"Cameron Brown versus Glioblastoma. To the right of the chair, from Melbourne, Australia, Cameron Brown. To the left of the chair, from the little book of medical horrors, Glioblastoma. Brown won the toss and chose to serve. Time." ... and so Cam starts his story as he wrote it in London, UK in his dedicated blog on his battle with cancer.
Cameron and his wife Nikki learnt what no one ever wants to on an unforgetable Friday night back in October 2014. Cam was diagnosed with a Grade 4 brain tumour, GBM (Glioblastoma Multiforme to be specific) within 24 hours of seeking medical support for early symptoms and operated on just four days later to remove the mass from his brain, or as much as surgeons could. Regular Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy have since been enlisted for the fight in earnest. Lives have changed, families have rallied from around the world, friends are supporting where they can but the match has only just begun and this is sure to be a 5 setter for our beloved Cam (and Nikki).
Cam and Nikki need (y)our help although they would never ask for it, nor expect it! They are just wonderful people like that and its just who they are. Cam has spent his life dedicated to leadership in improving the environment, his wife, his family and his long list of friends. They are generous, thoughtful and beautifully caring people. We must help.
With a little time, thought and loose change, please contribute to making things a little easier, a little more possible and a little less overwhelming for the battle ahead for our friends Cam and Nikki.
For those who know Cam, you already have probably read it but you can read Cam's story in depth here in Cam's own words where he keeps a blog to share the experiences, ups and downs alike, with us at: Browny and the Brain
Despite his (and her) strength and their commitment to overcome the challenges ahead, which he fights with the spirit and humour his friends and family love him for; the financial burdens of medical treatment, facilitating international travel for family support, and just getting time to experience dreams and life together with his wife Nikki is unfairly out of reach.
Help us make it a little bit easier... please donate to Cam and Nikki now. They may not ask for it, but they need and deserve our help!
Thank you for your efforts and support. It is appreciated.
