Brown’s Medical Expense. (Update information)

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Debbie Brown

(UPDATE)

I have had friend’s in other states ask how can they help me.

I'm have been diagnosed with bladder cancer and have been told I have Stage 3 cancer. I need chemotherapy to prepare me for bladder removal.

I only have one medical insurance the pays 70% and I will have to pay the remaining 30%. I have already endured two procedures. When chemotherapy starts I will have a total of 8 doses. Once that ends the doctor will do surgery. The type of cancer is very aggressive and could invade other parts of my body if I don’t do this. I will have to wear a ostomy  bag.

Please pray for healing, comfort, guidance, and provision. Please consider helping practically through a donation, and please consider sharing this with others who care very much for me.

“Never be ashamed of a scar. It simply means you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you.” —

I stoped smoking on December 25, 2008 and was told the cancer I’ve got is from smoking.   So please if you smoke please thank about stopping.

Life changes, you go to your doctor 10 February for a routine check up.  The urine test showed blood so went on antibiotics for a week. He also ordered a ct of my bladder.  Went back in on 3 March for results, lt was the first time I knew something was wrong.  They say sometimes you can smell cancer well I did. He walks in asks how I’m doing my answer was probably not well after he reads the results.  He goes well they see a mass and looks like cancer. We need to  send you to a urologist.

The new doctor walked in and confirmed there was a mass, and he needed to go look at it closer.  So the next week we go back to doctor, and he takes a small camera and goes in, and we see it, look a pice of cauliflower.  He confirmed it cancer.  He then scheduled me to go into hospital to remove it.  The follow up with him to get pathology report, not good.  He said you have stage 3 and it is very aggressive cancer, and he wants to send me to another specialist who that’s all he does. .

Stage three cancer it's very very aggressive if left untreated it can spread to my kidneys my lungs all my organs so we going to do some chemo treatment and then go and take my bladder out. Hopefully he  gets all the cancer out before it starts spreading.  This is very scary and It's hard to believe that all the sudden your life change forever.

I went to that specialist in he confirmed it is stage 3 and aggressive cancer.  He gave me three options one of which he said the cancer would return with in 3 years.  The second option the cancer would return with in 5 years.  And the third was the one which is chemotherapy with total removal of bladder.

To be told if you don’t do anything you will die from this was like ripping your heart out .  After listening to doctors  and talking things over with my husband,

Chemotherapy

Spoke to the chemotherapy doctor at here in Sumter, his chemo treatment is  4 cycles of neoadjuvant cisplatin/gemcitabine dosed as cisplatin 70 mg/m² on day 1 with gemcitabine 1000 mg/m2 on days 1, 8 of 21-day cycles. We reviewed pertinent toxicities including alopecia, nausea, myelosuppression/infection, toxicity, nephropathy, nephrotoxicity, and rare treatment associated mortality. He also told me I will loose my hair.
