Morningside Campus for New York Presbyterian/CUIMC

We are raising funds to help Brownie's, the cafe/catering small business in Avery/Fayerweather Hall,  to prepare and deliver food to front line health workers at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC).  We are raising funds from throughout the Morningside faculty and staff for our Brownie's family and for the frontlines medical staff.



Brownie's is a space that is very familiar to everyone at the Morningside campus for their sandwiches and salad bar.  It has been there for 30 years. We have all grabbed a lunch on the go, met colleagues for coffee, and held office hours in the space. Our colleagues, the workers at Brownie's, are familiar and dear from years of working together. They are part of our community. This campaign will allow us to keep the staff safely working through the PAUSE period.

This crisis requires us to take care of each other. Our colleagues at NYPH/CUIMC are the literal front-line. We owe them all of our support: from providing them with the necessary PPE  to helping feed them through our donations here.

**With Columbia community’s support, Brownies delivered approx. 50-70 meals a day to NYP hospital staff in the ICU and Emergency departments since March**
