Peace family,
Those of you who know me very well know that it has taken a lot for me to come tot he point of this sort of fundraising, as it just isn't generally my style. However, there are things in life that require a big piece of humble pie and this matter far extends those needs. As most of you know I'm expecting two beautiful identical twin girls soon. Soon has become very soon as a result of a condition we have been made recently aware they have called "Unequal Placenta Sharing". This condition is found in the types of twins I'm having " Mono-Di twins", meaning they have two sacs and share ONE placenta for nutrition. Not often but at times this can occur in this form of twin pregnancy and cause one twin to not get as much nutrition from the placenta as the other because of who where their umbilical cords are placed on the placenta when they spilt into two! At this time one of my babies is 50% smaller than the other and is having a difficult time. Doctors are concerned about her passing away inside me, which could result in neurological damage to he surviving twin. They have a plan to keep me monitored in the hospital as early as this week Monday up until i deliver. I'm currently only 27 weeks and as you can imagine the gestation for birth is very young to induce me. We are praying to make it to 30 weeks or beyond under careful watch in the hospital for successful delivery of both twins with no brain injury! Say Amen! I'm reaching out for help as I was just informed of my hospital stay this week and it will take me out of work for at least a month and 3 weeks!! I'm an artist, as many of you are as well. There is no maternal leave for private contractors like myself. There is no unemployment ( as I have not been fired or laid off). All the jobs I have lined up for the summer at several institutions starting June 24th I will not be able to do. I'm supposed to move into to DC next week into a new apartment for the next year to be closer to my family for help with the babies while I go back to work. All of this has been compromised now. Given I have to be hospitalized until possibly July. My finances have dropped from under me suddenly and all my plans for my baby shower and birth plan have all drastically changed overnight! Im asking for this money to cover my deposit to move into my new apartment, and a little to have on reserve when I get out the hospital to cover bills as I will be having a C-section and it will take some time to get back to singing and dancing to support my little ones. Whatever you can offer to reach this goal i sincerely appreciate you would be literally saving lives! Thank you in advance village!! I will keep a positive attitude!
