Brotman Family ALS Relief
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ellen and my son Joshua, age 20, was diagnosed with a rare form of ALS last year. As a result, we were told by doctors we need to leave our apartment and find a place without stairs, which are already difficult for him to climb, before the disease progresses. News of this diagnosis has been devastating for us. This fund will go towards covering travel, living expenses, care, furniture and other things to help our family complete this difficult transition and help Joshua with this ongoing and challenging disease. Life is now, not the future, so we are looking forward to creating some good memories for him and finding a good place for our family.
Joshua loves legos, making art with pastels and paint, spending time outside, and hanging out with his family. He's a goofy, sensitive guy who's grown up struggling without a diagnosis, going through years of medical tests, biopsies and doctors. He lives with two siblings, a younger brother and older sister, who both help out a lot. Right now we have no caregivers and I am a single mom building a small business, so ANY AMOUNT HELPS.
