Brother Robert Julián Durán
Donation protected
Hey, Everybody!
My name is Buddy Lorence and I'm trying to help the family of my good friend, Robert Julián Durán, raise money for his funeral expenses.
I have been a friend of Robert's for fifty years, meeting him at Saint Anne's Parish in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1974, when I was 17 years old. We have stayed good friends all these years.
Robert was always active with the church and as a teacher.
He attended seminary, planning to become a priest and became a Brother. And he was active with the various churches in Santa Fe, most notably, with Saint Anne's Parish, as a choir director, sacristan, mayor domo and many other activities over the years.
He taught at the New Mexico School for the Deaf and, later, at DeVargas Junior High School, working with handicapped children.
Robert passed away on February 27, 2024 at the age of 80, due to pneumonia and sepsis. The doctors performed aggressive dialysis every day, trying to jump start his kidneys, with no success. Shortly after, he passed away.
Because Robert had no insurance policies to cover funeral expenses, we are trying to help his family by asking for donations from his friends and loved ones at this time.
I hope you will be able to help with any money you can spare! Thank you so much for your kindness! I'm sure the family will be most grateful for any help you are able to give! God bless you all and see ya!
