Brother Milton's Cancer Treatment and Recovery

Greetings Brothers and sisters, my name is Lurline Findlay O'Meally, and I am raising funds for my brother Milton Findlay of the Moneague Church of Christ in Moneague, Jamaica, West Indies. Brother Milton Findlay is a faithful brother in the Lord's church having obeyed the Gospel over 40 years ago. As a faithful doer of God's word, Milton has served at the Moneague Church of Christ for many years at many different capacities. A man who welcomes hard work to provide for his family, Brother Milton lost three fingers in a work accident at a factory he was employed at. Despite his accident, Brother Milton continued to work driving taxis. After experiencing unexplainable sudden back pain, my brother was recently diagnosed with multiple Myeloma (Bone Marrow Cancer).

Unlike the United States and other Western countries, medical care in Jamaica is very expensive and many individuals (such as Milton) do not have insurance. Medical expenses are often paid out of pocket. In many cases family members abroad assist with the cost of medical treatment. Brother Findlay receives several medical treatments, all which add up to $2,500.00 USD per month, In addition to travel and various medications.

My brother has been undergoing his treatment for approximately 18 months and has made significant progress, however, he needs to continue his treatment to advance his cancer into remission. My family as this time is unable to continue to provide the resources to continue his treatment. His current regiment of treatment is scheduled for 18 months, therefor these funds raised for Brother Milton will be used immediately.

Meeting our fundraising goal will lift a tremendous burden off the hearts and minds of my family and loyal friends. In addition, meeting our goal will too allow my Brother to receive the treatments he needs in a timely fashion. Like many medical conditions, Milton's condition is an urgent matter. Cancer is an unpredictable diseases, so prompt treatment is of the utmost importance.
