Lionel Lacanlale Funeral Fundraiser

Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you in advance for your love, prayers and support. We’ve started a fundraiser on behalf of the Lacanlale family, to help with my brother-inlaws  funeral arrangements. Any amount of donation will help. Unfortunately Lionel was not eligible for life insurance due to his health condition and disability status. He lived conservatively and on a tight budget just to get by.

Love letter to my dear brother Lionel: Sorrow and Joy

Our loving brother, Lionel. 

We cry tears of sorrow because we will miss your presence on this earth. We will miss seeing you with the many different hats you have decorated on the four walls of your room.  We will miss your corky personality, and the way you love to sing and dance. We will miss your sensitive spirit and love for the underdog and for the unjustified. In many ways, you were so misunderstood by showing your act of kindness and forgiveness to those who were underserving.  Since the death of your son, Lovell, you have never been the same. We saw the brokenness and pain in your eyes. You struggled in life, but you pressed on to live for Tacio, Leila and Lincoln.

Angels are now rejoicing in Heaven. We rejoice with them as we cry tears of JOY because you are joined with your son, Lovell, our Dad Protacio, Apu (grandmother) Minang and Karing, and most comforting, our Heavenly Father, who's called you home because He felt it was time. We cry tears of JOY because you are no longer suffering. You're now "Free to Run and Free to Dance!" This was your favorite song of Martin's. I know this because you played it over and over and over! LOL.  

It's not good-bye brother, it's see you later!
