Brookside School: The Cradle of Cranbrook's history

This GoFundMe account has been created for the purpose of underwriting the costs of designing and publishing the book, Brookside: The Cradle of Cranbrook, uniting those of us with enduring memories of Brookside School Cranbrook, Bloomfield Hills, MI, founded in 1922. The Cradle is an abridged historical account created with LOVE, documentation and images from the Cranbrook Educational Community Archives and Center for Collections and Research, Cranbrook School publications, personal stories shared by former faculty, staff, administration, parents and alumni, and my own personal knowledge as someone who grew up on the Cranbrook campus and as a Brookside teacher from 1973 to 2013. The graphic design team ready to be under contract to bring this book to life is comprised of two Cranbrook Academy of Art MFA graduates who will infuse their own affection and knowledge of the Cranbrook Community into their design. The initial goal of $100,000 is an estimate which will become more precise as the work proceeds over the next few months. This endeavor has truly been a labor of love as I relived the joy I felt when teaching at the school by the brook. This story unfolds over ten decades, touching generations of adults and children alike. Each and every contribution, no matter the amount, will be greatly appreciated. An LLC account, called The Cradle, has been established and is linked to an account at my bank that will receive all donations submitted through this Go Fund Me initiative.
