Brooksann Tillia and her family are facing an incredibly difficult challenge, and we're asking our community to come alongside them with love, positive thoughts, prayers, and financial support. Every donation will help ease the burden of cancer-related expenses so Brooksann can focus on what matters most—healing and spending time with her family.

At 45 years old, Brooksann is a devoted wife, a proud mom to two daughters, a passionate teacher, and a woman whose faith in God guides her through every season of life. Her breast cancer journey began in October 2025. Just one month after a routine screening mammogram showed no signs of concern, she discovered a lump in her breast. Trusting her instincts, she returned to her doctor. Multiple mammograms and ultrasounds came back clear, but Brooksann knew something wasn't right. She advocated for herself and requested a referral to a breast specialist. An MRI-guided biopsy confirmed Stage II invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC), a type of breast cancer that is often difficult to detect on traditional imaging. Upon official diagnosis in March 2026, the tumor was the size of a tangerine.

Since then, she has endured appointments, scans, biopsies, and difficult decisions. She is still waiting for surgery while her medical team coordinates her care. Medication is helping slow the tumor's growth in the meantime, but the waiting has been emotionally exhausting. Recent imaging also revealed multiple cysts in her other breast, adding even more uncertainty.

As if cancer wasn't enough, Brooksann and her family are also preparing for a move from Oregon to Arizona after she accepted a new teaching position. They are navigating treatment, travel, and a cross-state move all at the same time. Like so many families facing cancer, the costs extend far beyond medical bills. Travel to specialists, lodging, time away from work, moving expenses, and daily living costs continue to add up. As Brooksann's care transitions to OHSU for reconstructive surgery and continued treatment, those expenses will continue to grow.

Through it all, Brooksann's faith has remained unwavering. She continues to trust the Lord through every challenge and every unanswered question. She has found strength in her family, friends, medical team, and the incredible support of those around her.

If you're able, please consider making a donation to help lighten the financial load during this difficult time. If giving isn't possible, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Brooksann and her family in your positive thoughts and prayers is another meaningful way to help. Thank you for standing with Brooksann and her family as they walk this journey with faith, courage, and hope.
