It is with deep sadness that we let you know that Brooks was the victim of gun violence on September 5, 2020. He leaves behind Van, his wife of 10 years, and his precious 6-year-old daughter, Lilly.
Our family is heartbroken at the sudden loss of this gentle, philosophical soul. He was always mindful of the good that lives in humanity.
Please consider donating to the Go Fund Me for Van and Lilly. The funds raised will be used for funeral expenses and to help as they re-orient their lives without the presence of their beloved husband and Daddy.
I will withdraw the funds raised and help Van , Brooks' wife. establish an account for her and Lilly.
Van will have full access to these funds. She already has shared that she plans to earmark some of these funds for Lilly's future education.

Thank you all so much for your donation that will go to his wife Van and his daughter Lilly. As stated in the beginning this money will be used to reorient them for a life without Brooks. We are preparing the house to sale and then relocate them closer to Briton's family and myself. Some of the money will go into a college fund for Lilly, making sure the car is safe and ready for winter conditions, and some into savings as a safety net for curves life throws our way! In addition to you kindness of donating, we want you to truly know we felt the out pouring of love and energy from you all, and for me I know that helped me put one foot in front of the other for the first few days! Thank you again!
