Hi, my name is Deborah and I am fundraising for my dear friends Brooks and Miracle Carter. Brooks has been sick with liver disease for over two years. He was healthy until about two weeks after getting the covid vaccine. After multiple hospital stays for symptom control they were advised to go to Emory the next time he required care. He was taken to Emory by his wife on Wednesday after only being home from a local hospital for less than 24 hours. He will not leave Emory until he gets a liver. No one knows when that will be. He was a school teacher but has been unable to work for a couple of months after having increasing health issues. He has a love for sports and has coached local football teams for years, often on a volunteer basis. He is a DAWG fan through and through. His wife Miracle dedicated 20 years to healthcare and she is currently in school for nursing. Miracle needs to be with him as much as she can right now. He will be required to stay in Atlanta for 6 weeks after the transplant, whenever that happens, and she will need to stay with him. If you feel led to donate, it will be greatly appreciated.
