B the Brave's new Battle

Donation protected
Brooklyn is our gorgeous, hilarious, adventurous, kick-ass, 17 year-old friend who underwent a bilateral lung transplant in March of 2023. It was a successful transplant and over the past year Brooklyn has recovered well and, has been living life to the fullest. She has been active! Going to the gym, hanging out with friends and, even went out for her high school tennis team! Everything was going great and Brooklyn's future with her new lungs was looking hopeful.
However, in March of 2024 (exactly a year after her transplant), Brooklyn started to have a decreased appetite. Over the next couple weeks this progressed into not being able to eat or drink and, she had constant abdominal pain with vomiting. Brook has spent the last 4 weeks in the hospital and it was discovered two weeks ago that she has PTLD. It is a rare form of Lymphoma cancer that can develop after transplant. The PET scan revealed that the Lymphoma is throughout her entire bowel, a couple spots on her liver and a couple in her chest. Brooklyn has had severe side effects from this Lymphoma so, it was decided that she needed a more aggressive treatment - Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy.
Brook is still in the hospital but, once discharged will need to go to Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle multiple times per week for a variety of treatments and interventions.

Many people have reached out wanting to know what they could do to help the family. Since loved-ones live all over the country and physical help may not be an option, we thought this would be the most effective way to "Do Something" to help during this very stressful and expensive time of their lives.
If you know anything about the Clasbys and the Thornburgs, you know that they are some of the most loving and generous people on the planet. You also know that they are fighters! They face adversity with their heads high and their gloves off! This is just another round. They will come out swinging and Brook will come out smiling.
Let's join them in the fight because - we all know there is strength in numbers!
Jennica and Brandon both work full-time jobs and shuttle multiple children to and from school, sports, and medical appointments.
We can be their "Village" and help support them by lessening the financial burden of traveling to Seattle (fuel, hotel, food, etc). The funds will also be used to help with the purchase of things to make chemotherapy, and the aftereffects, more comfortable for Brook.
Please contribute whatever amount you are able and please, continue to pray for Brooklyn! Pray for the chemo to be effective in killing the cancer and for a fast recovery so she can get back to living her amazing life. This kid has big things planned!!!!!

Thank you all so much for supporting B and family through this long, tough journey. They feel and appreciate all the love, prayers and financial gifts each one of you has offered.
