On behalf of Ben’s teammates at Roche Diagnostics, the countless patients and laboratory leaders he supported during his years at Roche and Mayo and the many hunting/fishing/dancing friends he celebrated the joys of life with, we welcome you to contribute to the Brooklyn Arts & Education Fund to honor Ben’s legacy.

Ben passed away from natural causes on February 16 while on a hunting trip with his dad and friends in Texas. He leaves behind his loving wife Kari and a beautiful 9-year-old daughter, Brooklyn.

Ben recently explored how he could support Brooklyn’s interest in learning the violin and never shied away from sharing photos of Brooklyn and him dancing at competitions from Florida to the Wisconsin Dells.

He was very proud to be a part of these events and we wondered who was having more fun: Ben or Brooklyn?

This enthusiasm and generous spirit were evident throughout his career in laboratory medicine and made him more than just a colleague: Ben was our “Go to Guy”. He was always willing to help anyone, anytime. He was our friend.

Please help to keep Ben’s spirit alive in a way that supports Brooklyn as she discovers her passions through the Brooklyn Arts and Education Fund.
