Brooklyn & Terence's Homebirth Fund

Hi Everyone,

Terence and I have booked a homebirth with Kate Elizabeth Parenting for the arrival of our baby!

We are so excited to embark on our birthing journey at home with a midwife who understands our vision and aligns with our family values.

We have chosen a homebirth, as opposed to a hospital birth, so that we can welcome our baby in the safe, comfortable environment of our home from the get-go!

Birthing at home is statistically the safest and least-expensive birthing option for women with a low-risk pregnancy. However, due to the shortage of registered homebirth midwives in Australia, Medicare's reluctance to subsidise homebirths and the lack of education about homebirths in GP offices, only 1% of women in Australia birth at home every year.

Women and families deserve to choose their birth journey. Terence and I feel really lucky that we have the opportunity to work with Kate to achieve our vision on this!
