Hello!

We six are the members of the 2024 MFA Acting Cohort at Brooklyn College. Thank you so much for visiting the fundraising page for our showcase!

Over the past two years, we have been developing our skills as theater artists through rigorous training. We’ve strengthened our voices, bodies, and spirits, with the goal of discovering who we are as artists and developing our own personal practice. We’ve also collaborated with the school’s highly talented M.F.A. directors, playwrights, and designers on full productions, staged readings, and scene work.

The showcase comes at an exciting time of year for us. As we wrap up our coursework and thesis performances, this showcase will serve as our official introduction to the professional film, TV, and theatre world as well as the culmination of two years of rigorous study and practice. It’s a way to introduce ourselves to industry contacts, and launch us into the next stage of our careers.

But we need your help to do so!

All of your generous donations will be funding the following:

Ensuring an in-person showcase with agents, managers, casting directors, and other industry professionals in attendance.

Commissioning a developer to design and build our digital showcase website.

Hiring a professional director and crew to shoot and edit each of our reels.

Funding space and equipment rental for our in-person showcase event.

Covering the cost of necessary marketing materials such as headshots, casting packets, and more.

Upon graduation, the six of us are poised to transition from being students to being professional artists. The showcase is a crucial step in this journey, and a way for us to stand out in New York—one of the most competitive and important theater cities in the world—and beyond.
