Brookline High School's student-led Speech and Debate team is excited to announce that we have students who've qualified for two of the most prestigious national tournaments:

* The National Speech and Debate Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa (June 16-22nd)

* NCFL Grand Nationals in Chicago, Illinois (May 25-26th)

We are one of the only student-led teams in Massachusetts, and despite our lack of legacy and resources, we have achieved enormous success in the last 6 years. Not only have we consistently placed high/won States in both novice and varsity LD debate, but we have sent competitors to Nationals where they have placed in the top 10 in the country.

We are sending five entries to Nationals, not including the required judges and faculty advisor. Plane tickets, registration fees, hotel rooms, and other expenses add up, and we depend almost entirely on donations from friends and family.

We don't want any debaters to be prevented from success because we don't have enough money.
