We’re now 2/3 of the way through another exciting and rewarding wrestling season. As our student athletes are continuing a long tradition of commitment, advancement, hard work, and good sportsmanship on the mats, you all – the “Brookline Family” - have also continued another longstanding tradition of supporting every member of the team!
A huge thank you goes out to all the coaches, trainers, parents, and friends who continue to support the wrestlers this season!
As noted at our season kick-off, the function of the Booster Club is to support wrestlers and coaches mainly by raising funds to help the team in a variety of ways. Some examples are:
- Ensuring everyone has the opportunity to wrestle without financial burden by providing team uniforms, equipment, etc.
- Building team spirit through supplementing team gear purchases for athletes
- Capital expenditures above school allocations, such as home competition wrestling mats, practice dummies, strength and conditioning gear, etc.
- Occasional food purchases and other support for traveling wrestlers and coaches
- End of season awards / recognition / coach appreciation
