Dear Parents, Wrestlers and Brookline High School Wrestling Boosters/Supporters:
We have had such an exciting and rewarding wrestling dual meet season, and I know from the hoarse voices of parents and wrestlers that we have all been positively supporting every wrestler. Brookline wrestling is on a great positive trajectory!
Thank you to all the coaches, the trainers and managers, the parents and friends who continue to support and grow the wrestlers this season!
We will soon start the “tournament season” – beginning with Sectionals this Saturday.
Booster money is critical to the program success in a number of ways, and is targeted towards:
- Ensuring that everyone who wants to wrestle is given the opportunity without financial burden – providing critical uniform and equipment needs beyond what the school provides, for example
- Building team spirit through supplementing uniform purchases and sweatshirt / other purchases for athletes
- Capital expenditures above school allocations. For example – the home competition wrestling mat was purchased by the booster club. Wrestling dummies. A wrestling overhead competition light. And more
- Occasional food purchases and other support for traveling wrestlers and coaches
- End of season awards awards / recognition / coach appreciation
- All expenditures are reviewed and approved by the Booster Directors
