To know Miss Melissa is to love her! If you have ever been to Souper Jenny in Brookhaven, she has been there serving our neighborhood the best food and smiles for years. We wanted to share the latest news on her health and surround her with love from our community during this tough time.

Melissa was recently diagnosed with an aggressive head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. She is starting chemo and immunotherapy this Wednesday and is unable to work during this time. In December, she’ll have surgery to remove the tumor and reconstruct.

Her family is very grateful and lucky that she has an amazing team of doctors and appreciates all the kind thoughts and prayers. Melissa is truly going to miss her amazing community while she is gone, focusing on getting better!
