Brooke's Running for Con Mi MADRE - Fort Worth

Tax deductible
I am running to raise money in support of Con Mi MADRE- Fort Worth. As a nod to the city where the program started, Austin, TX and the city I'm raising money for, Fort Worth, TX, I am running both the Austin half- Marathon and The Cowtown half-Marathon in Fort Worth.

Con Mi MADRE translates to "with my mother,” which reflects the unique programming that engages mothers in their daughter’s educational journey from 6th grade through college graduation. Con Mi MADRE empowers young Latinas and their mothers through education and support services that increase preparedness, participation and success in post-secondary education and life.

Con Mi MADRE provides an intervention, reorienting a vulnerable population toward education and career success. Con Mi MADRE is doing tremendous work with wild success for over 1,000 young Latinas and their mothers who participate in the program statewide annually.

Con Mi MADRE Success:
62% of CMM participants qualify and enroll in AP classes
79% of CMM participants maintain at least a 3.0 GPA
98% of CMM participants graduated from High School
76% of CMM participants enroll in 4-year institution post high school
100% of CMM participants graduate college in 4-6 years post high school (national average for Latinas is 15%)

The Fort Worth chapter of Con Mi MADRE launched in 2018 and is currently located on the FWISD campuses of Rosemont, Riverside and Kirkpatrick middle schools. There are currently 100 mother-daughter pairs or 200 participants in the program (and growing).  Currently, there is more demand from potential participants  and additional campuses within FWISD - which is awesome. In order to meet the demand, we need more resources.

The cost for one mother-daughter pair per year is $1,500. I am raising money to support TWO Fort Worth mother-daughter pairs for ONE year or $3,000.
