The Brooke Gonzalez Memorial Softball Scholarship fund is being set up with Pasco Hernando State College. Brooke was tragically killed by a drugged driver while jogging on the sidewalk near her college apartment on April 25, 2016. One week before heading to College Softball regionals and two weeks before graduating College with honors. She was robbed of attending these events that she was so looking forward to. Her life was taken too soon. She has left a hole in many hearts and is missed beyond words.
Brooke attended Pasco Hernando State College on a Softball Scholarship that she worked so hard to achieve, from playing Varisty Softball at North Marion High School, to Travel Ball with The Ocala Warriors, Elite Softball, years of lessons and practice to make it to the next level.
To honor Brooke and her legacy we are fundraising to offer a Scholarship to a Softball player wanting to play at the next level. The first Scholarship will be issued Spring 2017. All funds will be delivered to Pasco Hernando State College c/o Coach Tom Ryan. details of the scholarship will be issued as soon as all criteria is met. We have set a limit of $1800 to honor her #18,
Brooke's Jersey #18 and her locker are retired and a memorial is set up in the College Softball locker room.
Brooke was an amazing young women with a heart of Gold, always looking out for the "under dog" making sure everyone was ok. She would love to know we are helping another softball player reach for their dreams.
If any other information is needed regarding the Scholarship, please send email or message me through facebook.
