I'm Lucy, Brooke's older sister. We have been BLOWN away by the amount of support Brooke and our family has recieved and feel beyond blessed to have such a great network. Especially that we have reached the $ goal! To be honest, we weren't sure we would be able to raise money for Brooke this way - and really, how do you ever know what to ask for? It doesn't feel right to change the goal ... but I do hope we can keep helping Brooke raise money. As of right now, her bills are already over $2,500 and she just had her first round of Chemo. She is no longer working, and Tim is taking time off to make sure he can be at her side during treatments. She is also seeing a Naturopath, which is not covered under insurance, just to help her stay as healthy as possible while chemo basically destroys it. 

I know her expenses are going to well exceed our $3,000 goal - and what 26 year old plans for something like this? We are thrilled that the goal has been reached, but I would love to continue to raise support. While she is SO BLESSED to have insurance, there is a lot it will not cover, plus all the outside expenses (and let's be real here, co-pays are brutal!)
