Brooke Baldwin's Brain #ExpectMiracles

Many of us watched Brooke start a battle with brain cancer in 2017. She fought hard as did her family and doctors. Although the tumor remained, the therapy worked amazingly well and Brooke was able to move forward with her bright smile and zest for life as she graduated from Texas Tech, worked in her passion area of dance, and met and married an amazing guy.
Over the last few years her quarterly MRI scans all looked good. In June of this year, her MRI looked different and the doctors did a biopsy. The news was not what we all had hoped and the tumor was more aggressive and growing. Brooke had another brain surgery on September 16 to remove as much of her tumor as possible and the plan is to follow up with radiation and a year of chemo treatments.
So many people have asked Brooke and her family, "What can we do to help?"
Brooke and Tyler are moving back to Houston for the next year for her recovery and medical treatments. Doctors have told Brooke that she likely cannot work for this next year and needs to focus on her health and recovery. Obviously, concerns over the financial implications are arising as Brooke is putting any career goals on hold for now. A few people mentioned doing a gofundme. Yes, after much convincing, we were able to get Brooke to agree.
Brooke is looking to replace a monthly income of $3000/month for the next year to help cover rent, groceries, medical bills, and other necessary living expenses.
You can give to Brooke through the gofundme account or if you would like to use Venmo or help in a different way feel free to direct message either of her parents here Deanna Kotrla or Bryan Kotrla
You can keep up with Brooke's cancer journey through her CaringBridge site
They have appreciated all of the prayers, calls, texts, and precious acts of kindness.
