Brooke Tarkington Medical Expenses

Brooke and her family have touched so many of our lives. During this time, as we are earnestly praying for a miracle, we are looking to help relieve some of the financial burden that is sure to be a stress in the coming weeks and months as they pay for medical care, travel expenses, and are unable to work. Update from Steve, Brooke’s dad on 9/12 “I’m asking for PRAYERS for my daughter Brooke Tarkington.

She had a serious Cardiac episode today , while working at church. Actually they had finished working and they were relaxing and she just fell out. And was non responsive. Rescue was called and they were there pretty quick, she was in VTac and they had to shock her back and establish a pulse.

She is heavily sedated right now, and hooked up to everything. They have stabilized her enough to Life Flight her to Shands Gainesville for more specialized care.

For those that don’t know, she was born with a congenital heart defect and had surgery at 4 weeks old. Ironically at Shands Gainesville. She had a pacemaker at 16 years old. She’s 33 and the mother of my two grandsons.

Needless to say, she is our miracle baby, no matter how old she is.

Pray that the doctors, guided by the touch of our God , get her back on her feet and back home with her husband Ray and the boys.

This is very hard but we are staying strong.

We have to live by Faith.”

Update from Ray, Brooke’s Husband on 9/12pm “God has always used Brooke and her testimony to connect to people in a way that few others can and I love that about her. There is no greater example than the outpouring of love and prayers that have been coming to our family the last two days. I want to take a moment to say thank you and let you know that your prayers matter. I have found comfort in knowing she has so many people praying for the healing touch she needs and I'm holding on to the promise that with Christ all things are possible.
