(6/21) Hey Friends and Family - Here is an update on Brooke's journey. Over the last week, Brooke has been getting intense, short lived headaches. Yesterday morning they became so bad she started throwing up and had to go to the ER. After a CT scan, they found a mass in the center of her brain. She has now been transferred to another hospital to get an MRI scan to get a better look at the mass. As of right now, we are still not sure what the mass is. She is waiting to get an MRI until she can start feeling better, and once we get those results we will have a better understanding of what is going on and get a treatment plan started. Brooke is in a lot of pain and is very tired, so she will not be responding to peoples texts and calls for now. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers and keep them coming as we get more answers to what is going on. (6/24) Hey guys - all your prayers, love, and good vibes are needed our way. Brooke has decided to proceed with surgery on her brain tomorrow. There are a lot of risks involved so we need all the good energy and prayers we can get. As we all know, she is the strongest and bravest woman there is, and she is going to give it all she’s got. (6/23) Hello All - I am so happy to share that despite the odds Brooke has made it through her surgery today!!!! There were so many risks involved but of course our warrior pulled through! They were able to drain the fluid causing pressure and pain in her brain and were able to remove a part of the tumor for biopsy. Although we still don’t know what the future holds we will celebrate our win today. She couldn’t have done it without everyone’s prayers and support!! Thank you everyone!!
