Hi, my name is Chelsea and I’m fundraising for my goddaughter Brooke Rose. Brooke is a sweet, loving 10 year old little girl who was born with a genetic condition called Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome. Due to this syndrome, Brooke has many medical issues like seizures, kidney issues, failure to thrive, behavioral issues, developmental delays and lots of other complications. The most important complication is a heart defect, known as ASD. Brooke has a hole in her heart and aortic valve stenosis which needs surgery to be repaired. Her doctors here in Syracuse have kept a close eye on her but the time has come to fix little Brooke’s broken heart. Because of all of her complications, Brooke had to go to Boston Children’s Hospital where she can get the best care and then can address all her health issues. The family will need to stay in Boston while this is being done and while insurance will cover most of the medical costs, the family will need to pay for transportation, gas, food and lodging, etc. Only one parent can stay overnights with her in the hospital and this is a stressful enough situation then to have to worry about how they can financially afford the trip.

Let’s lift some of the financial burden and worries so they can concentrate on Brooke and her procedure and recovery. Any contributions help tremendously.
