On Friday, March 11th of, 2022, our daughter, Brooke, went into the emergency room with an inflamed pancreas. She unexpectedly passed away the following day, Saturday, March 12th, leaving us at the young age of 26. Brooke left behind three beautiful children: Krystal, Alayna, and Ryker. She had two older siblings, Milton (Kitty) and Jake (Kayla), making her the youngest of the three. She also leaves behind a boyfriend, Joey.

Donald and I (Crystal) were so proud of Brooke and all she was doing in life. She had just passed her written exam to become a CNA and would be taking her skills practical later this month. Brooke worked exhausting days at the Good Samaritan in International Falls, caring for the elderly and sometimes patients with Covid. She often worked 12 to 16 hours a day. Brooke provided for her family, helped out around the house, and cared for her grandmother and aunt. She was a mom who was always taking care of others and loved ones. She was intelligent and beautiful and had an unforgettable laugh. Brooke will genuinely be missed dearly by many.

The donations we are asking for help with the bills and expenses that are to follow her death. She had multiple ambulance rides and an emergency flight from International Falls to Duluth, Minnesota. It will go towards the cost of the medical expenses and funeral. Anything extra will be used to help take care of her three children. A parent can never plan for the death of a child, especially at such a young age. This is difficult to write and ask for, but we want to give her the farewell she deserves.
