Hi my Name is Brook. I row for Bude Gig club, and I have been selected to be in the GB crew, to take part in the Atlantic challenge for young people from 10 nations in Denmark 2026.

The Atlantic challenge teaches traditional seamanship using replica 18th century Captain's Gigs,encouraging self-confidence, leadership, teamwork and responsibility.

Atlantic challenge provides opportunities for young people,from all backgrounds, to work together and share adventure whilst learning traditional skills,many of which are in danger of being lost.

Atlantic challenge takes a crew of 20 young people to compete at the biennial international contests of seamanship held in a different host country, where international friendships are fostered.

To make this dream come true I have to help fund this by raising £2500. Im going to do some fundraising. I will be putting some of my wages from my job towards this too.
