Bronx is a 9 year old rescue dog that was adopted in 2018 and has earned the lemon dog title - said with love, we don’t regret adopting him and don’t blame anyone for his health. The shelter he came from was amazing and treated him for heartworm when he was there, no one knew this was going to be his future. He had pancreatitis in 2018 and was diagnosed with IBD in June 2019 and now is also having issues with his bladder and prostate. We have spent close to 20k on his care and have become overwhelmed. His doctor has been monitoring his prostate but unfortunately, it has gotten bigger than it already was recently and he has been having symptoms (constant urge to urinate, licking, pacing) so it is time for an ultrasound to see what is going on in there.
He is honestly the sweetest dog in the world but his ongoing care is expensive and we would be so grateful for any help we receive. He is worth every single penny but it’s overwhelming right now.
Last weekend we spent $350 just on his food and some of the medications and the ultrasound is booked for next month and will cost another $500.
