Bronx Zoo bench in honor of Eileen Harkin
Donation protected
If there is one place that Aunt Eileen loved most in the world, it was the Bronx Zoo. Anyone who ever visited NYC, was invited to spend a day with her at "THE zoo." As a Friend of the Zoo (FOZ), Aunt Eileen volunteered every Sunday to guide tours, direct visitors, and share her love of animals with anyone lucky enough to bump into her! This passion was not solely driven by her love of the place itself - Aunt Eileen believed strongly in the mission of the Wildlife Conservation Society to protect wildlife and wild places.
With this mission in mind, we invite you to donate to the Wildlife Conservation Society in memory of Aunt Eileen. Donations here will be used to dedicate a bench at the Bronx Zoo in honor of Aunt Eileen. The donation will put a plaque on a bench in Aunt Eileen's honor while supporting the mission of the Wildlife Conservation Society.
We plan to organize a gathering at the zoo this spring to share stories about our hilarious and beloved Eileen while visiting all of her favorite creatures! Stay tuned for additional details in Spring 2022.
Please feel free to share any pictures, videos, or stories about Eileen here: https://www.weremember.com/eileen-harkin/8n9t/memories?utm_campaign=memorial_share
