In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I am Mohamed Mudathir, and since the beginning of the war in Sudan, we have lived through an indescribable tragedy. We lost our family members and loved ones under the fire of the conflict. At dawn on the 2nd of August, our area was attacked by the Rapid Support Forces. They broke into the market and the homes of civilians, and my own house was not spared. All my belongings—money, gold, and household items—were looted, and then my home was set on fire and burned severely until nothing was left.
We were not allowed to leave our homes and remained trapped until nightfall. Only then were we able to escape, running in fear until we reached the city of Al-Obeid. Today, we are displaced and living in schools, without shelter, without possessions—without anything. All that remains with us is hope in God.
Like thousands of Sudanese families, we are living in conditions that exceed human endurance.
We call upon the world, upon every person with the ability to help, upon humanitarian organizations, and upon anyone with a living conscience:
Please help the affected families. Help the children, the women, the elderly. Help those who have lost everything and have nothing left but hope.
We ask only for the support that will help us stand again, shelter our children, and rebuild a life far from fear and destruction. Your compassion and assistance can save lives and ease pains that burden our hearts every single day.
