The Solar System is within our reach! We are halfway to our fundraising goal, but we need your help! Please help our group of current and retired educators bring the Solar System to Broken Arrow to be shared with the students and families of Broken Arrow and surrounding communities. 

The Voyage Exhibition  is an accurate, permanent, interactive 1 to 10-billion scale model of the solar system along a 1/2-mile walking path that will be open to the public and located along the sidewalk on 61st street between Lynn Lane and County Line stretching from Creekwood Elementary to Broken Arrow High School.

13 Informational and Interactive Stanchions allow the visitors to explore the solar system from the Sun to Pluto. Though planets never actually line up in space, the stanchions are placed on a straight ½-mile trail so visitors can grasp an understanding of the relative sizes of the objects and distances of the planets from the sun. Visitors can essentially experience Earth’s and humanity’s place in space.

Through this project, we hope to:

1. extend and enhance existing informal science and STEM education experiences in an outdoor space.

2. foster community engagement for STEM education, with the means to engage: students in grades K-16; educators across grades K-12; families; and the general public.

3. promote experiences and educational programming that are

Strategic - addressing our community’s educational goals in STEM education;

Systemic -addressing the curriculum across local school districts;

Sustainable, providing content and resources on an ongoing basis.
