Broken Arrow Show Choir Competition Fund

Broken Arrow Show Choir needs your help. 

Broken Arrow High School boasts three extremely talented groups in the Show Choir program: Tiger Rhythm, Tiger Mystique, and Tiger Momentum. These groups bring music, dance, and theater together in outstanding performances and competitions,

with award-winning shows that are recognized nationally for their vocal and visual superiority. The three choirs not only perform locally but travel for competitions all around the country. Last year, the groups had an opportunity to travel to NYC to compete with some of the most elite show choirs in the nation.

Experiences like these allow some students to explore a possible future in the arts, and enable students who may not otherwise have the experience of travel an opportunity to do so. Moreover, it

gives them an opportunity to lead and represent their school as ambassadors of their home city and state. Every student in the program is held to the highest standard as representatives of Broken Arrow, and each and every one of them are committed to the growth and development of their craft. This group of students prove their passion every day, investing countless hours of rigorous work throughout the year, committed to the overall success of this program.

As a result of their diligence and determination, these choirs have received awards for best band, costumes, vocals, and props, as well as grand champions overall in previous competition seasons. Their hard work and dedication are evident in everything they do.

How can you help? Each year, the show choir’s budget for travel and expenses is planned in the previous school year, and due to the overwhelming rise in costs due to the current economic climate and inflation, the program is now short in the amount needed to reach this year’s competition season plans. Help is desperately needed in order to reach our goal. We need to raise $75,000 immediately in order to cover travel expenses, hotels, meals, and related costs for our choirs to get to California in March, to

compete among some of the best choirs in the country.

All monies donated will support the program’s general fund to cover the remaining costs of travel for 163 students. Each member of the choir has already labored throughout the school year fundraising to reach this goal, in addition to their choir fees, and has been disheartening to come up short due to circumstances beyond our control.

Please, will you help us reach our goal? We are humbly reaching out to our community for help and support to aid us in raising the funds required to complete our budget, and be able to get these hard working kids to California. We hope to show these kids that their community is behind them and that all of their hard work and efforts will prove successful.
