Hey everyone! As some of you know I have been dealing with sciatic pain on my left side since September 2024. Despite PT and other initial treatments, it never went away and actually got worse. It eventually got to the point where the pain became so unbearable that had to get a MRI done as X-Rays showed no abnormalities. The resulting MRI images showed that I have been living with not 1, but 2 severe disc herniations on my left side L4/L5 and L5/S1 spinal discs.

I decided to avoid the surgical route and went in for Epidural Steroid Injections to help with the pain. Which helped, but after they wore off I went back to being in pain a couple months later. It got to the point where I had 3 (very uncomfortable) injections done just because the pain was so debilitating both mentally and physically and the only comfort I found was laying flat on my back immobilized.

Eventually I decided surgery was probably the only way I’d live a pain free and mostly normal life again and so I went in for a two-level microdiscectomy. Unfortunately for the recovery process I will be out of work from anywhere between 6-8 weeks without the ability to bend, twist, or lift anything more than 5lbs (2.27kg). The funds would help cover living expenses while I’m out of work, cover the remainder of my insurance premium so I can continue to have coverage at least until the end of the year incase any complications arise after recovery and to help cover any medical bills.

I hate to ask for donations, especially from my brothers and sisters in the film community as I know the year hasn’t been the busiest for us so I ask you only donate if you can and to share this post.

Appreciate you all!!
